got the JL's metered last night.....

yea, the gas tank is right behind my rear seat, so Im not going to be doing that, and I already have my rear speakers gone. I guess My car just wasnt built for that kinda sh*t. The thing that is really pissing me off is that it iss keeping all of the low bass to itself. Whenever a low note hits, my trunk and rear speaker deck flexs like crazy, but you cant hear the lows that well.

I have exactly the same problem. I have little holes in my rear deck (where you hook child seats up too) and I can feel a lot of air coming through, but my seats don't fold down, so there is not airflow in the car. Just a lot of rattles. Hopefully this 100sq ft of Damp coming in this week will help with some rattles.

There was actually a guy on ROE that has an Intrepid like me, and he cut a hole in his rear deck and gained something like 6-7dB on the TL. You should look into it.

i wish i could just take my backseat out, but the metal on it is connected to the seat and the car, prolly would take tons of work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif no time

I have a rather large plate in the back of my Buick.... Deadens the shit out of the trunk from the cabin. Best thing I did was remove my speaker from my back deck. Made a big difference....
My GTO had the 6.5" subs in the rear deck location. They were mounted using a large plastic manifold. The actual holes in the sheetmetal are near 8" in dia. Leaving these subs and manifolds out makes night/day for me. Not only do I have a metal plate between my rear seats and trunk, but I also have my gas tank right behind this metal wall, surroounded by a hefty steel cage. Without removing my stock subs, the sound is pure shit in both SQ/accuracy and output.

135.9 is great bro, for your first run:D

My first with this thing was a 135.6( with twice the watts lmao) so don't feel bad. I was only using 1 input on the amp though, now should be about 140 with some dynamat xtreme(try that out if u haven't)

big metal plate=gay, but what can you do....I guess you could cut mre out of your rear deck....but I wouldn't do that too much.

Good job though, next meet I'm going against u with 1/2 the cone area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
