ok i know for a fact im going to get a directed 1100d or a viper 1200.1 ok i kinda want a XXX to go all out in my system for my GTP, but i dont wanna get a bigger amp, its not in the question, so im wandering since the xxx 12 is 369 and sx 12 249, i think on the prices, is it worth getting the XXX rather than the SX , money is an issue 120 bucks is a week of work - 25 bucks, and i have bills during the month, SQ isnt really that big of a deal, i mean i ran audiobahn flame Q and a type R and 2 L5, and i dont really care for the lack of SQ, except in the L5 they kinda ****, so my question is, is it worth the 120 bucks? im sure it is but money is a big issue......

hmm, if you're not that concerned on SQ I'd just get the SX, it'll get louder easier so you'll get better results easier, plus it's cheaper and the SQ differenece probably wont' bother you.

thats what i was thinking, i heard it gets a lil louder than a XXX spl wise, as long as it doesnt have as bad as SQ as an l5 sealed ill be fine, im sure it will beat all my other setups in SPL, type e/r, 12 flame Q , 2 bahn natural excursions, 2 l5s sealed 15's only on 300 watts rms each, type R which wasnt bad, 15 SE which wasnt that bad either, and whatever ones i forgot

exactly and figure i make 150 a week, / 4 weeks in a mo. 600 bucks, 200 in bills, 200 in gas..... hm not much left

I'm not so sure how you plan on getting your hands on a XXX, but i'm sure either would please you. As far as the XXX being worth it in your case, only you would know. Have you been around any SQ oriented subs? Did the difference appeal to you? All questions to consider.

However, if you haven't had much experienced with SQ based subs... you might be in for a very pleasant surprise.

no, i dont really notice SQ, i notice it lacks in the L5's thats about it, and are they not selling the XXX or something now? also i guess the SX 12 will be like 300 shipped

also whats the rms on the 12 sx

i have heard both, sx and xxx, in the same box just different cars and amps. i couldnt really tell much of a difference but my listening to the xxx was short, i was out of the car, and the person whom had it probally had the gains set a lil to high. but i love the way my sx sounds. someday i will replace it with a xxx

wow and save what like $20 or whatever the basket costs. the basket is the only thing that is the same between the SE and XXX. actually I lied, the mounting ring gasket is also the same probably would be better to try to have them just use XXX softparts and keep the SE motor and get a seXXX, not sure if they'll still do this, don't see why not though.

I am very knew to this so i could be way off with this response but i will try. I was looking at getting 2 xxx 12's for my car. I was reading reviews comparing them to brahmas and avalanche subs. After spending hours reading i figured out they are all about the same. There was no real winner. So what i did was went with the brahmas because the prices were much lower than the xxx prices. If i were you i would get a brahma for 300. I think it would be a great comprimise. Still get the sq you want but not pay 369 or whatever you said the xxx was going to be. It would be a little more than the sx but still not a big difference at all. I have never even heard of sx so i can't really comment on that sub at all. Those are just my 2 cents.
