Well I ordered some books to read from amazon, they came in yesterday. I'm only on the 2nd page of the LDC, and I can tell it's going to be one hell of a read.

I tried getting some pics of a few pages, but the lighting sucks so it doesnt show up.

Edit: Got 2 to show up. The first is from the LDC, 2nd is from the car stereo cookbook. Each book has tons of diagrams and seems to easily explain everything. I say seems to because what's easy for some to understand might not be as easy for others.

looks like theres tons of info in there

i need to check em out at the bookstore

The car stereo cookbook is full of the myths that we try so hard on here to dispell. Like power and signal wire separate. Shortest ground possible. Never ground to the battery. Never ground amps to the same spot. The list goes on.
The LDC on the other hand...
So the loudspeaker design book is more than building a speaker, but a lot of information on things like installations, box building, etc?

Well that's something I didn't want to hear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Loudspeaker as applied in the title of the book has nothing to do with driver design and everything to do with speaker system design, from box design to driver matching to passive crossovers. It really is a great reference.

Now that I'm glancing through it... I just might return the car stereo cookbook. It seems to be aimed at the beginner. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

There is also some bad info in here. This book says ATC fuses only go up to 40amps, AGUs up to 60, and ANL up to 250.

So go for Loudspeaker Design...no go on the car stereo?
Yea. The car stereo one is pretty basic. First page of the LDC dives right into subwoofer electrical and mechanical design, magnetic flux, and T/S parameters. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
