Our city has an ordinance saying you must have insurance and a valid tag on your car whether it runs or not. Otherwise it must be stored elsewhere.
Code Enforcement rides around and when he finds them he notifies the owner and they have 15 days to move it or make it legal.
We got the call today to go remove 4 junk cars from the house. Code enforcement was their like usual and we(3 wreckers) set up to get the cars out of the yard.
The guy didnt act weird at all. After I hooked to one vehicle and was strapping the wheels down. gunshots rang out and I heard a scream. We took cover and when the shots stopped, I drew and peeked around the wrecker to see Beau running towards us and the guy stepping inside and closing his door.
That was 6 hours ago and the guy is still barracated inside.
Mind you, Beau is a swarn in police officer so the guy is so fucked. I cant imagine he makes it out alive.
Lost 2 windows in 2 wreckers.
