Police say a Warner Robins man who shot a code-enforcement officer Wednesday and fired at several other people now faces eight charges.
Warner Robins Police Chief Brett Evans says officers took 50-year-old John Adcock into custody shortly after 11:30 p.m., after a nine-hour standoff at 204 Ward St.
A police news release says warrants have been issued for the following charges against Adcock:
-- Criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery for shooting code-enforcement officer Beau Weathers;
-- Two aggravated assault warrants for firing at police Capt. Bill Capps;
-- and three counts of aggravated assault for firing at three wrecker drivers.
