I now a guy who is a complete dsm freak. He could build an entire dsm out of his garage. He just happened to have a bnib alt that I got. The coolant line is fixed and now I'm out of money to get the fuel line parts. I think I need a new sending unit.Thats a pretty clean looking talon tho. Alts are fairly cheap for those at the junk yard. Fuel and coolant lines are easy to replace. Main thing I would be concerned about is how the fire got started.
Not gonna happen. There's so much more suspension work needed on a fox to handle that kind of launch... AWD FTW...Foxbody Mustang. And that's INCLUDING the price of the car. But yes, DSM's can be quick.

Thats good you know somebody that is dsm fan. When I got mine, none of my friends had ever touched an import car. I had to learn everything hands on. Is the turbo on it still working?I now a guy who is a complete dsm freak. He could build an entire dsm out of his garage. He just happened to have a bnib alt that I got. yea I know but it looked like it was in really good condition and I didn't really want to have that 200 mile drive be for nothing... idk prolly not the best idea overall and I probably don't do it again but whateverMOST PEOPLE test drive cars before they buy them.
WTF!
yea I actually know two people like that. The one can take off the entire front clip of his talon in under 15 minutes. The other guy actually just bought a galant and pulled the motor and had a different one installed and running by the next day.Thats good you know somebody that is dsm fan. They've been thrown into high 9's on under $3k. People throw two IHI's on them, rig up the plumbing and they rocket. 1.6 60' times are not that harsh of a launch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif Junkyard performance. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifNot gonna happen. I also own a foxbody and thats where all the money is going to be going as soon as this thing runs reliably.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
10 second Foxbody's are a helluva lot more common, and cheaper, than 10 second DSM's.

Excuse me but I come from a family of mechanics and those things have major issues, also a friend of the family had one and it was in the ship more than it was on the road.FALSE They just have quirks. Just like every car. Someone who knows about those cars can easily see 300k on the stock motor with no major repairs. Apparently, you're one of those that know nothing about them... Like 95% of the people in the world.
Considering turbos just stop working and all....Thats good you know somebody that is dsm fan. When I got mine, none of my friends had ever touched an import car. I had to learn everything hands on. Is the turbo on it still working?
In some sense. If you take one of each, both well maintained, the DSM will hit 10s alot cheaper. Only problem is, it's alot easier tyo find a clean Fox.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

And they explode shortly after. Not to say that DSM don't when you put them in the 10s for that kind of cash. Regardless, cheap, fast, reliable, pick 2... That's all you get, unless it's a rotary. IHI is a little 'nickname' for the turbos built by Borg Warner's IHI division. Factory installed on Merkur XR4-Ti's, SVO Mustangs, TurboCoupe Thunderbirds, and some Cougar XR-7's.what are ihi's? sorry for the noobish question
