Got my subs! DLS Ultimate 12" *Pics*

Got my subs the other day. They are used but pretty much new. Guy said only a few hours of playing on them. Anways, one of the looks more worn than the other (as you can see part of the trim is peeled off). It also makes a wierd noise if you push down on it, made a vid. on that. Also, what is this "tape" stuff that it came with?

What amp would you recommend?

Put a multimerer on the terminals, red-red, black-black, then tell us what it says

Set it to read ohms.

JK, go to wall mart and get one for $10, just a cheapie is all u need. DMM are pretty usefull in car audio, so i recomend getting one

also the foam tape is to be used as a gasket between the woofer and the box

sometimes that scraping sound is a problem with your voice coil

it could be blown or very near the end of its life as a playing sub

deff check that on a dmm

youll figure it out

my SE scraps if i dont push on the cone in the midle. if its off to the side, it rubs a bit

alright found a multimeter. Hooked it up and both of then go all the way to the right to 0. But the more worn looking one bounces around more

im in the arlington area. Dont have then setup yet so cant really do anything

I think that tape is gasket tape - u put it around the sub when u mount it in the box to make sure the box stays sealed
