half the reason i got it, ive always had something for the high roll surrounds, they are just pure sexy to me

the power

part of the port

i have to admitt, ive never done anything with tc stuff, just read some negative stuff on them, but so far the CS, the build and looks of the driver are great, will see how that goes in long run

i thought it would have the black cone, i called and they said it did, but i was emailing kyle and he corrected them, but the silver cone is still nice looking

but sub is a tc2000 12 S4, going to be in a 2.8-3cube box at somewhere 18-20hz, havnt decided yet, but it wont be that different between them, going to run the ep2500 @4ohms and keep the gain down a little

hope it works out okay, i might have some probelms with port noise acording to a few people but i already have the port so im gonna try it

box is going to be piano black finish if it works out like i hope, a guy i work with at the shop is big in HT(4 RLP 15s) and he is gonna help me

1. Keeping the gain down a little is not gonna stop you from blowing the sub, the gain also isn't a volume control.

2. If you build the box right it sure take the full power of the ep2500, Mines takes the ep 2500 and wants more, I even hooked it up to a friends k2 at 4 ohms bridge and no problems at all either.

3.You might not have port noise with my 15" I have no port noise at all, with 2-4" ports but I am gonna test 1-6" to see if it yields better performance.

i dont think it will have port noise, but i have people telling me otherwise

i heard it can take the power, i just dont like testing my luck

like i said, box is probably gonna be 2.8cubes to 19hz

somethings wrong with my reciever too, when i hook the ep2500 to the sub out with rca-1/4 adapter, all i get is buzzing, but if i do it to my laptop, it plays great

so i might be looking at a new reciever tomorrow if i dont figure something out

also i did notice lately the sub hasnt been as loud as i thought it was, so im wondering if the pre-out is going bad

i might pick up a pioneer bestbuy has

Sounds like a 60 hz tone? Probably a ground loop. An isolator will fix it.

I have a tc12 with only 1 4" aero and sofar I've had no port noise even at full tilt, but that's only with about 700w on tap.

Also many A/V receivers don't have enough voltage to push pro audio amps, so you might need a black box to up the signal.

Man that's a small box which will be easy to integrate into your room. My RL-P's are in 10cubes each. Does the TC do fine in a ported box that size?

Good luck on your build and nice equipment you bought...

yea thats kinda what it sounds like, just buzzing and constant hum, but it wont play any of the input it gets, just hums

hooking it up to my laptop with adapters works great

onkyo 605 ftw lots of bang for the buck
im not looking to spend that much, im cheap, dont need 7.1 or any 2 room operation or hdmi switching

i saw a pioneer one at bestbuy for like 210, and a yamaha for 200, might pick one of those up

well kyle at tc said like 2.3 or 2.5 cubes tuned to 18 i think, so i just bumped it up a little, ive modeled a lot of different ones, im also trying to keep it as small as possible while still doing good

picked up a ground loop isolator and it works great now, just need a a cleanbox or something to boost the input signal

threw it in a sealed box i grabbed from work, sounds alot better than the POS onkyo sub, cant wait till i get the ported box for it
