On another note, I am also going to look into getting one of the T7xxx line processors when I get more cash.

is your os even 64bit?

My choices were the T2xxx and the T7xxx line...and the price of the T7xxx wasnt justified.

From what I have seen already its more stable for OCing which was my goal. Its also running a lot cooler, which is never bad.

and like the other post, the 2.33 T2700 price to performance wasnt worth it. The T7xxx 2.33 is outragiously priced.

get the newer 8*** or 9*** series proc, if your laptop supports them. i hate to say it but that isnt exactly what i would consider an "upgrade" an upgrade for me is 2.1 to at least 2.5-6 + OC. ive never OC'ed a laptop but i oc the shit outa my desktop. 7900GS thats a kick *** vid card back in the day and still slightly is!
