XPS's are nice machines. I like Dells higher-end laptops.
But do yourself a favor and download a pirated version of Vista or XP and reinstall over the crapware Dell install. They bloat the **** out of their installs.

I was under the impression that the XPS machines weren't like that. I'd think they'd have minimal background processes going on for performance reasons.

nothing too much really on here as far as bloatware

when building it you can opt for no preinstalled security and other trail programs and such

no word perfect or anything, i have a freind with some extra office keys im gonna get

due to the delay, my csr is giving me 150$ credit, i have a bag coming and a mouse

so not too bad IMO

loving it right now

and the day just keeps getting better, i won 1300$ store credit for a local shop from a competition tonight for 1st place and most points

Probably run a little better w/ XP Pro on it, Vista sucks, had it when it was Longhorn wasn't too great (compared to the over a year I was running whistler now known as XP, which rocked even in it's early stages), the big thing was going to be the implementation of WinFS file system, didn't work in alpha, later ditched by M$, seems like a overweight version of XP w/ a linux/apple pilfered body kit on it lol!

Ram 2.0 gb

Hard Drive space 1 terabyte.

Luckily I'm running a lowly 6600GT anyways so I have an excuse to ignore vista and instead run XP with AeroGlass skin haha.

I just got an Hp desktop. Used to have a laptop and grew to hate them b/c they have very limited upgrade abilities. The new comp has AMD 64 live dual core 2.6ghz processor, 3 gigs of ram, 400gb hard drive, and a 22" widescreen flat panel lcd. To sum it up I burnt a dvd with 3 gigs of all dave matthews in a little under 10 min

Does anyone have experience with running vista at 64 bit instead of 32? Im wanting to do this but need some information before I do
