the 04SS65.2 6.5" components? why would u sell them so cheap? u could easily get 300 for them, being used. every website ive been to hasnt sold them for under 500.00. the highest i seen was 899.00

i am having trouble removing the boot from the mid. i cant mount them with the boot on, i know u remove the boot if u want to mount the tweeter in the middle of the midbass, it says its supposed to just pull off. but it doesnt pull off.

actually, i just got it off. it was a *****. now.. new question. i went and test fitted it, it now fits.. but the magnet on the midbass connects to the metal on the inside of my door. is that bad? will it be ok if the magnet is magnetized to the metal of the door? its the only way it will fit unless i get in there with a saw zaw and cutaway the excess metal.

Itll waste some of the motor strength of the speaker, and change the specs slightly... will you notice a difference? Probably not. But if you can put something... anything between it (like felt) itll help. Not too mention that the rattling of the motor against the metal if it isnt ultra tight to it (and even if it is, when the door shuts) will be annoying. As air is a bad conductor of flux, even a small 1/8" gap between the motor with some felt, box carpet, whatever soft, will help.

I absolutely love the SS30 tweeters. My favorite "big brand" tweeter out there.

it will make a buzzing sound when the mids are pounding..

make a spacer.. 1/4" - 1/2" out of MDF & use a foam gasget your good to go

Peace troy

*update* im custom making my own enclosure for the woofer. ill have pics tomorrow, its almost done. used 3/4 MDF on the outer panel of the door to cover the old grill hole, i carpeted it, sealed it off completely. no housing for the back, just free air from the door. so it should be pretty decent bass response. next is to deaden the door. probly in a month or so. ill have pics up tomorrow. so, with this new enclosure... the magnet doesnt hit metal anymore. woot.

are they really that much? i just bought the ss mid's for 50 bucks brand new? and the nd25a tweets for 25 to go with them......
