Got my bass back :) Pics and Vid... 3kw+ on a Nightshade 15, PPI Arts

i heard some complaints about the BT with this. aparently it automatically syncs when you turn it on, takes a while to connect, and you cant listen to music durring this connect process. i think i rwad that over on steve meades forum. id look into it more.

i dont use BT so no issues for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had my amps mounted open like that. Then I took it to a shop to get opinions and look into having a custom lighting / plexi cover made. The guy over there kinda made me scetchy about loose wire clippings getting in there and shorting it out or worse, so I scratched that whole idea. I might still try it in a future build.

ah wish i had pics to show you...

the LEDs are mounted to the top cover right at the edge of the the wood just peeking out to where they can shine over the board. they were glued and taped into place ont he wood. all the LED wiring is crimped and or covered behind the LEDs. the LEDs are also held in place by the top cover being screwed down into place. where the top cover meets the amp chasis there is padding with foam weather stripping all along the edges. this reduces vibrations since its not simply wood on metal contact when the top is screwed down... so the LEDs arent moving at all even with the vibrations incurred with the system being as loud as it is. all the connections are solid, covered, and secured into place. Havent had a single issue with wiring in the enclosure besides one fan that died, and will be replaced this week.

Ampjunkielikeme built that at his home, i think if a shop employee is turning you away from the idea it's because he doesnt know what he's doing. thats just me...

No, he was concerned with the equipment being expossed to debris and shorting out. They are a good shop. they do work for big shows, can't think of the names but, I got his point. The car need to be cleaned hella good so nothing can get blown into the guts and causing an issue.

gotcha, sorry if i came off like a prick

the amp board is sealed off from everything else, the air passes around the outter chasis as it goes through the enclosure.
