i played tones from 45-55 and music was for some reason louder ? also this was my first time using a termlab with about a 30 second intro on how to use it

music an be louder than a tone sometimes, it has alot to do with the track being played and time delay of the various tones in the song as well as the natural acoustics of your ride.

got any pics of the setup so we can take a look and see what ya got going on ?

no pics, i made a video earlier, but its pretty crappy, its just a t-line box by stratusrt01, amp rack, with amps on it, and a kinetik in the corner...

stratus did like 145 iirc with 2 sundowns on the jugg, and he has a similar type car although its a coupe, so im thinkin im just gonna throw another sundown on it till it pop's and ill get a g series

did you do a sweep to find out what your peak was at? At least then we'd have a baseline to understanding where your box is tuned at. Lets say your sweep tells you 45 hz, then that means your box is probably hovering around the 40-42 hz tuned range (since interiors make the final sweep outcome a bit higher than tuned)

no //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif , it was my first time and the shop guy was busy with other customers to explain it all to me, so i just threw out tones and music with the peak selected on the laptop

how do i do a sweep to find my peak? i saw on the bottom part the lines would come up at i guess the loudest hz, it was different for different songs, usually between 45-50 hz
The guy had a termlab, but didnt do a sweep? what a fucktard. Kinda a waste of a termlab session if he didnt try to get you louder than what you came in with.

he should of instictively did a 20-100 hz tone sweep at moderate volume to find your peak loudest fequency, then use that fequency tone to tweak your vehicle's arrangement of interior peices (such as seats, floor mats, windows, whatever) to get you louder with consecutive tests at that peak fequency.

If you were close to where I live, id just say come on over and we'll re-do the tests.

yea dude you need to get a copy of the meca spl cd. its pimp:) you should have ran a 120-30hz sweep. i hope you can pull better than a 137. run a sweep then burp at your peak. and no it isnt your car especially if your seats fold down. i think your box is shitty. do subs and port back it is usually the loudest.

no the guy is a nice guy, he was just busy with other customers ... he said later on today the big spl guys are going in there to use it, but i dont want to go up there and embarrass myself infront of the 150 guys
