Got kenwoods today..am i killin them?

I have a 180 aiwa head unit with hi-bass...i bought some kenwood kfc-16959...i have my settins like this

hi bass ON

i dont have subs but most ppl get in my car and ask wat kinda subs i have in my trunk...my bass is set very low but the speakers hit hard...can they handle those low settings? if so then i just wont invest in subs and keep the settings

Some(dare I say Many/most) like the sound of distortion and hence, don't view it as a bad thing.

misterwebb, if "hi bass" is a loudness button, then I bet at higher volumes, you are getting distortion(unless that feature automatically shuts off at higher volumes). If you really want some bass, I suggest getting a sub and an amp(you wouldn't have to spend a ton of money to get a significant amount of bass compared to what you have).

there isnt ne distortion with the settings i have i was j/w cuz it sounded like they was hittin HARD
