Got hosed on eBay

I know, it was my first purchase so don't flame me. The lesson has been learned.

I got this CDA-9831. Paid for it that day with paypal. 2 weeks later, I haven't heard from the seller so I filed a complaint with paypal and then I got a response " I've been busy... blah blah blah...". It took almost 3 weeks total to get it. I went back to paypal and canceled the dispute. Now the HU quits at times and the seller gives the standard answer " you wired it wrong, it was perfect when I sent it to you, it is something that you did".

All I want is my money back. There is no remote with it (the listing said it came with one) and it sometimes doesn't work and the unit has to be reset.

I can't file another complaint because one has been filed and resolved, but this is different. It is a faulty item. I called paypal and all they say is "sorry, you shouldn't have cancaled the first complaint".

Am I screwed??? With the past history of my luck, I am. Please help. What can I do???

All suggestions are appreciated. Just keep the heat down 'cause this has been a lesson.

Thanks,

Scott Watkins.

Open a new complaint with Paypal; the first one was for merchandise not received right? Open another one stating the item is not as described; the worst thing that can happen is they deny you. Other than that you’re screwed. Leave negative feed back if all else fails. Good luck!

Demand a refund leave negative feedback make threatening phone calls and if you know

some one that lives in the area, scare him so he will give you a refund and extra for your

valuable time lost.

I think the warrenty idea is out the window long long ago.

I'd still ask alpine what they'd charge to fix the deck it might be worth it to have it fixed.

I'd still contact pay pal tho.. dont want him ripping someone else off.

honestly. it sounds kind of crazy but you could file a police report with the local police in that area. i would try that and i would also complain more to paypal. ask for supervisors and s**t. the police might scare this dude into giving you money back. other than that, i would make a trip down there with some buddies and mapquest his address to his house and kick his a$$

^^has been done, as odd as it sounds.

Some friends of mine that I used to talk to with paintball had a guy take 900 bucks for an Alias Timmy, I think it was, guy was 4 hours away. Went down there with a 12 gauge, a cooler of beer, and camped out on the dudes front steps, he came home asked what happened, got his *** beat, they got what they wanted in return. You know the deal, it was quite funny to read about, wonder if pbnation still has it posted? *looks*

OT: ILL I dont know if you know but that kid was on some stupid MTV show. I wanna be a white suburban gansta rapper. He got humiliated... many times. Ghostface laughed at him...many times.
