I think I'm going to amp swap just because, anything I do at this point will be just because but that itch yo

Replacing the SS4A and M1c.

2 Crescendo Encore 2 channels, one for left side one for right

1 Crescendo Encore 4.5k

So basically going from 160 per mid and tweeter to 500 per mid and tweeter.

1700 on the woofer to 4.5k on the woofer.

Should be fun. The amp rack will look cool also. 3 surfboards under the rear deck.

I won't do it till after this season. Might swap out the front stage while I'm at it with some Sinfoni stuff.

afaik the encore is a cheaper version of the bc series, so get a bc series? dunno 100% on this might want to do your own research. you're a quality fan boy, so i figured you'd care, even though it's not DD's you know what this time

also isnt 500 for those components a little much? yeah no **** they're high end but uhh what's the coil size? you gonna highpass at like 140hz

High passed the same as now at 80.

Symmetry is the only reason to keep it all the same lineup. They are very close on size and the heat sinks are the same.

worst case scenario you just pull them out and sell them for a minimal loss, those amps sell like hot cakes

id just be careful with the power going to those speakers, considering they have a price tag over $500

After all the levels are matched I won't be using more than I do now. The woofers output brings the fronts down to its level.

I wouldn't want to run it at 2ohm bridged and 4ohm bridged isn't that much power.

It might be cheaper in the end to do 2 of the DD SS6s and keep my M1.

I don't care if it's A/B or D. It's all about that powa!

The big A/Bs would just look cooler.

It would be 2 grand in amps and modifying the amp rack and finding a new home for the DSP with the crescendos.

If I went with the DD SS6s I wouldn't have to buy a new mono and I would just have to reshuffle the amp rack. But still find a new home for the DSP. About $1600 in equipment.

Talking about without selling mine. Still the DDs come out cheaper only because I only need 2 new amps.
