Believe me I've heard prosound drivers installed in cars before, And for the money, you CAN get louder and clearer. A pair of components up front would be just as loud...

There is sounding good loud and sounding bad loud. I will agree at that particular price point, the equipment you bought is good for the goal.

But after sitting in Tommy's truck, I don't see how anyone can take that for long periods of time.

i can think of a lot. actually. it may be a tad more. but worth it,

There is sounding good loud and sounding bad loud. I will agree at that particular price point, the equipment you bought is good for the goal.

Like I said.. Focal and Rainbows sound awsome, but aren't very loud compared to Eminence and cost a ton more. So what else in the price range (per driver) is just as loud? None. Sound better? None.

well people can man...jsut cuase you dont like it doesnt mean i dont, or other people.

and i agree with sounding good and loud, and sounding bad and loud. to most i will "sound bad and loud" but you cant really get as loud as i want, while still sounding good. to me, it sounds good enough (with 4 15" mts)

i wouldnt want these eminence with good sounding subs like XXX, etc, but with just crazy loud spl bass like MTs, and in a wall on top of that, i prefer loud concert level sounding speakers lol.

and also, ive never heard horns, but i honestly dont think 1 set of horns would be as loud as all the stuff i have. i know it'd prally sound better, but again i didnt want to waste money on good sounding things to not get as loud as i want. i know alot of people in florida that like theyre highs louder than the bass. we just like our highs lol.

i dont even drive it everyday. i drive my mini, which has the stock harmon karon system, which sounds pretty nice for stock. thats what i listen to everyday. my truck is going to be just to get crazy loud for when i wanna be loud.

I am arguing the cost factor here. You paid xxx.xx amount in total for your setup. I paid yyy.yy in total for mine. To say that eminence is cheaper than the germaniums is absurd. You can't compare it like that, you need to compare front stage to front stage.

We already agreed that your setup will indeed get pretty loud (with proper installation and amplification).
