i just picked up some ryobi tools, cordless drill, circle saw, and flashlight kit, was like $100 and i also got the close quarters drill as well. love them all. all feel really strong and durable. looking at getting the circle cutter and a jigsaw for them next. plus some extra battery packs

aye buying ryobi is like buying a box of chocolates lol some are really decent others are straight crap. i was going to buy one (router) only thing is the router seemed to be made way different but look the same (tool place had a few sitting out and the plastic casings and springs in the routers all felt different even though they were the same. i think ill stick to craftsman.

Thats kinda weird. I dunno man, I like this one, it was $99.00 @ the depot. I like it, it will do what I need it to.

how is removing the bits? I bought a router off ebay and I can put the bits in fine but cant get them out after. I ended up breaking the edges of the bits trying to remove them.

I didn't have any problems. Are you using the 1/2" collet, or the 1/4"? I was using the 1/4" and I've switched bits a few times.

the 1/4" its like the bits get stuck in it for some reason. kills me I have 70+ bits here and Im afraid to put them in this **** router lol.

Loosen the collet all the way up, and try pushing it (*edit* It = The bit, not the collet) in before you pull it out... (Try it with one of your already broke ones, :hehe

lol im being honest lol i know some routers they make are sweet these looked the same but the plunger was like a worn out box spring set and it was new lol i have seen some from guys my father works with (same router same plunger apparently) and they were alot smoother that is what made me look at a ryobi to begin with

the bit changing lock on my ryobi wore out, so i had to drill a hole and put a drywall screw into the locking mechanism so it would not lock up while working lol. the adjustable base also broke, so i had to rig it up with duct tape so it would clamp tight enough to hold still. All i use it for is flush trimming and roundover work now. Im saving up to get a porter cable

aye you only buy a porter once kinda like milwalkee plug in drills and saws then plan on passing them down to your kids

I finally killed a Milwaukee drill my dad's had for more years than even seems reasonable; It was totally my fault; Tried to cut a 3" circle, and burned it up.

my dad gets them rebuilt he has some that or over 30 yrs old lol and they look older!! lol
