They may have standards they'd like to meet, but there's no quota saying they "have to make X and X amount a day".

That's true but, and correct me if Im wrong, a portion of many police/sheriff departments income derives from traffic tickets.

I was surprised so i googled it and came up with this. Its quick and to the point compared to everything else ive read. Which all supports this small article.

Do police departments have quotas?

Basically, although it may be against the law, many police departments still install quota systems. Or "goals" of some kind. Whether its tickets for very minor and dumb things or if its just harassing you. I love our police officers lol. Unfortunately there really isnt much we can do about it until we treat officers criminal charge like cititzens. If not a lot harsher.

Personally i dont co-operate with police officers unless i have to. Of course if its something really serious like somebody killing a kid i will. If its some gang members killing each other then its all "No speakie english!"
