that's ridiculous can be done with much better equipment for much cheaper
This.

With some basic knowledge you could install all of that equipment, not to mention BETTER equipment, and spend far far less than 4k. If you're not comfortable installing yourself try to find a member on the forum local to you, I'm sure there's plenty of guys willing to help you with your install for way less than what that shop wants...

What an incredible rip-off... especially on the head unit stuff... dash kit and wiring harness just south of $200?!?! Ugh. Give me 2 grand and I'll drive up there and do it.

$75 to unscrew old speakers and screw in new ones? Not sure why they're going all out with ARC Audio either. They're good amps, though a bit pricey, and a bit of overkill really unless you're going for all out SQ, which you're clearly not. As for the subs and speakers, never heard much chatter about them. You could probably spend 1/3 of the price and get that Pioneer DDin used, and still in like-new condition.

"Custom box" sounds like a good joke, especially at $250.

Honestly, I'm impressed out how creatively they came up with this price-list. However, there's several members on here around your area, that could help you with the install and save you about $3000.

Just for example... here's what I imagine is your selected HU: Pioneer AVH-P4400BH DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

for $500, includes dash-kit, wiring harness (which retains on-star and steering wheel controls,), and antenae adapted... "Free Installation gear worth $34.97"

And these are Crutchfield prices, it's hard to find any place more expensive.

I have seen much worse for pricing. A better question is what kind of work do they do? If you went to a top notch shop that is known for doing great high end installs, then I do not see much wrong with that price. The break down for each is off a bit, but that is so you don't see what they actually charge for labor.

Yeah seems outrageous.

Granted I haven't priced from a brick and mortar in over a decade. Back when l7's first came out I got 4 12s 2 Memphis 1100d's Fiberglas box UNDER back seat of truck and seat blocks plus install for like 2g. Is it really that expensive today from store. Granted he is getting head unit and comps/comp amp but is getting less than half the subs I had and a fraction the power. Seems overpriced...

Yeah that's true but some stuff is way off. I'd rather they be upfront with labor cost than hide it elsewhere. Again I haven't bought from anywhere but Internet in forever so I may be out in left field.

i suppose its a bit high install wise, but it all really depends if there installs are top notch and everything is done by the book.
This is true.. Like if they actually install the speakers. You should ask what 100$ speaker install includes.. If they make mounting rings and deaden a bit that is not bad.

Even if you're not comfortable doing the complete install yourself, read up and at least do some of it. That's way too much to put down when you can easily do some of it. I just finished my first install and did 95% by myself with no previous experience.
