Got a quote to recone my GCON

Well got a quote for a very good company to recone my GCON...140 bucks plus shipping. Is that about the going rate? Ive never had a sub reconed and thats almost the price of the new sub I was looking at. So just looking for some input folks.

Thats a little high if you're only getting stock options.

Even if it's a 15, shouldn't cost more than 130 since that's what they sell for on SSA. Thats with shipping included.

Depends on what parts are being used. If its just a stock drop in go through SSA.

Is that price being reconed as well or just for a drop in?

It wasnt through SSA but ill email them too and its new coil,spider,cone surround and all. I didnt go for a high power option though.

I haven't heard much about the ssa 8s but im dying to have some SSA in my ride. do you think the 8s would be suitable (in an enclosure not IB) In the doors or kick for mid bass?
