how much work would have to be done to put 6x9's in my explorer when it says that i should put 6x8's in there

not too much, go to the dealership, trade in the explorer, and buy a blazer, a REAL truck.

sorry im just mad, blew mine up 2 times before i sold it... almost 8k in repairs.. **** piece of ford crap. seriously though, get rid of it, explorers are nothing but trouble... go to http://www.explorerforum.com and check it out.

The work you have to do is not worth it...6x8s are the same thing almost...you can't tell a difference.

or just build a 6x8 plate and put a 6.5inch component system in there....
