ok.. i am kinda new to this whole .. amplifier and subwoofer thing.. listen to alot of metal.. and thought.. why not add a sub.. to make the sound depth better... well.. got everything hooked up...and.. it's quiet.. like.. it seems like it should be alot louder... i have a pioneer GM-5000T amp.. and a infinity reference 1030W.. 250 watt rms.. 1000 watt max 10 inch sub.. in a q-logic sigle sealed or ported box.. have the port blocked still...just.. i thought.. the rms of 380 watts... would be.. a lil louder.. then it is.. i mean.. i know.. pioneer amps.. arent the greatest thing around... but it was cheep.. and i need something better then a jensen 200 watt amp... so.. if anybody can help.. it would be greatly appreciated...ohh.. i have a pioneer deh-p6600 deck.. and it's in a 1992 ford thunderbird with premium sound.... and another thing.. when i hooked the deck up.. i had to hook up the reomte wire on the radio.. to a blue and white wire.. in the harness.. or the peakers wouldnt work.... does the car have a factory amp or something?.. ohhh.. and i know i put this up already in the amp section.. i'm just desperate.. lol. i want to get it fixed asap.

if u have to hook up the blue then yes u have an internal amp, what kinda car do u have? i found some to be in the trunk on the top or behind the glove box. also check if you wired everything right

i have a pioneer deh-p6600 deck... and the gain on the amp.. is turned all the way up.. well.. i think it's all the way up.. if it is turned all the way to the right.. it says.2v.... and if i turn it all the way to left.. it says 6..5.. and about 1/3rd of the way from the 6.5 it says normal..... and i have the lpf on.

one thing... double check and make sure you have your rca's plugged into the SW output on the back of your radio... in the past week 3 different customers have came in that have installed their on own amp and couldn't figure out what was wrong with their stuff... the long set of rca's hanging off the back is the rear output... so double check and see if it's plugged into the right one

ok i have a 94 thunderbird and ur factory amp is in the trunk tucked up in that black rack on the bottom of the rear deck. i took my rack out kuz i needed room and took that amp out too. that pioneer amp is underrated. i have the same sub too. i have heard that infinity subs r real wierd and that u should only give them there recomended rms.
