If somebody had the resources to start a new shipping company the specialized in careful shipping, and actually paid for things they broke in a timely manner. Imagine all the business they would take away from UPS and FEDEX.

With the size these companies are, even if they did want to stop stuff like this, it would be almost impossible with the amount of employees. Good idea though.

Until I see the box and packaging, i don't think I can believe this one. Not calling the OP a liar, but with damage like that, something is just not right. Maybe it was shipped to him in that condition. I mean seriously, the box would have to be pretty fvked up to do damage like that.

So if the sub was securely in the middle and was packed to withstand a 6-8 foot drop (as they recommend) the force of dropping it would cause that kind of damage? It is all in the packaging. Shitty packaging = damaged goods. My AQ sub was double boxed and had foam inserts and got to me in one piece. I guess DJ has some secret technique that only he and other companies who ship subs new know.
