Got a new truck today.

I know, ive had a chevy and a GMC with the same front end.The GMC signals are bigger than the chevy ones so you will need to buy new ones. Found that out the hard way after i tore my whole front clip off for no reason. I wasnt happy

Hopefully you will buy all new hardware, the old stuff looks a bit tired
That is the plan. I can buy the whole kit for about 250, or i can buy the grill, headlights, blinkers, and corners for about 200.

I don't like the red either. IT will all hopefullly get redone to pewter.

I have a better start. and i dont want to start a fight, but unless you do the full frame off restoration, it will never be in as good of shape. If you do that though. you will have a lot more than 4500 into it to get it into possibly better shape. but it will be custom alot right? all original here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It has the potential, and i know you can do it.
I'll have tires on it Thursday, I'm ready for that stance it will ave with the tires. Should be blacked out (windows) before christmas. Then 200 for the grill, 200 for the hood 50 for mirrors, 150 for roll pan, then a paint job, and this ***** is gonna be bad. and still less than 80k original miles.
It is getting a frame off resto, and its not gonna cost me $4500 to get it into better shape. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I've already replaced the drivers door and tailgate, the only two body panels that had damage. The rest of the stuff is just rust and dirt. I've been quoted $500 to media blast the frame and other parts so that they will look brand new, but we have another place that will do it cheaper.

And yeah, its going to be a custom truck. Custom paint, interior, etc. $4500 goes a long way when you do the work yourself and have a lot of connections. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Don't get me wrong though, its a very nice truck. I guess I just went down a different road, got a cheaper truck and just doing lots of work on it. Though sometimes I regret getting it in the condition it's in, but oh well.

$100. I wouldn't have passed it up either. Getting it running and driveable won't take long, or much money. Getting it into shape is where that comes in. I have no doubt it will be top notch when done though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The Silverado looks good for its age and the money. Nice catch!
Wait until I get better pics! Oh man this thing is sweet.

Getting cars off old people is the best!!
Only bad thing is the guy knew what it was worth, and only took $200 off the price. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Very true. Unfortunately it's taking longer than planned

Hey, sometimes you gotta pay what you want. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It was a good catch and IMO worth the price.

I paid for that low mileage. ehh. I'll just put it that way. I atleast got lube.

I don't think it was terrible considering it needs no work. Paid $4600 for it.
holy ****. i can get the same truck here (or in orlando) for 2000

those trucks are by far the easiest to lay out on the ground. so PLEASE!!! dont go and make it a **** hoopty so all the homies think your a thug or some shit. That shit is fuggin retarded.

I woke up, and went to work today, and was informed that i am off today, and not thursday, so I just took some before shots. Had to clear the mem stick, then i am putting my wheels/tires on it. then i am going to wash it. I'll have pics of the whole truck including engine bay, and odometer in a few hours.

lol, i may not even put big wheels on it. i may just paint it back original color, and put some mags on it. 16's with wide tires. It's a toss up at this point. It's got such low mileage, i kindof want to keep it stock. BUT then there's this other part that knows how awesome it would look with some candy paint, and 24"s body dropped to the right spot.

What kind of wheels and tires?
These. This will give it a better stance, and make it not look so old b/c of the newer wheels. Tire size is:275/60R15, not real real wide, but enough.

I'm going back outside now!
