you just tell your supervisor/boss that you are quitting and this is your two week notice.

no letter needed. make sure you are clear on when your last day is, and make sure you leave on god terms (never burn bridges...)

you dont have to do anything... it is all a courtesy.

I am on a contract and they have a retainer I guess is what you call it I loose my last check with out the notice and returning all of my tools ect

you blow smoke up their *** basically. tell them stuff like " its been a pleasure working for this company blah blah blah, i appreciate the opportunities that youve given me here yada yada yada. i have recently decided to take a different career path. thank you blah blah blah.

keep it nice and what not so in case this job falls through or something of that nature you didnt piss anyone off and can possibly get a job back there in the future.

def have everything in writing so that in case there is a question about when you said your last day was you have proof. also suggest when you give it to them that he sign and date it.

I am not trying to type proper on here and i would be more worried about my spelling then my grammer I hope that I acn put a comma or a period in here oh ya I don't care

if thats the case, then dont quit... start slacking on our job and force them to buy you out of your contract...
