How exaclty did you do this?

Just watch the Dog Whisperer show and you catch a few things here and there. You just have to show the dog that you're the one in charge, not him/her. If you let them whine and cry and tear stuff up and bark, they will. If you give them a little "shhhttt" and a small pinch on the neck, they learn incredibly quickly that it's wrong and they should stop. After a little while, you don't need the pinch and can just make the noise and they'll associate it with a bad behavior they know they shouldn't be doing.

I doubt that I will ever own anything other than a Boxer from here on out. They are great dogs, IMO. But they are certainly not for everyone. You have to enjoy a dog that has a lot of personaility, loves to play and needs a lot of exercise. I think that they are a lot smarter than people give them credit for -- you just have to know how to keep them interested. They get bored easily.

i cant stand boxers. i find them horribly stubborn overly active and my experiences w/ them shows me they are not that terribly intelligent

I mean I dont want to hate on the kids dog, but IMO they are just so ugly, not so ugly they are cute either. Just IMO and sorry if people take it that way.

My friend has 3 of them and every one of them is dumb as bag of rocks! Yeah, they are fun to play with, have to admit to that, but my god are the dumb.

I think I asked this before, but what kind of dog is that again? Looks to be mixed with something. Wolfe maybe?

She showed up at my door one day about 10 years ago, I opened the door, she walked in and layed down and has never left my side

At the time i was living it Albuquerque, NM so there is a good chance she is part coyote mixed with german shepard.

She is the nicest dog(to me) I have ever had and she makes a great watchdog.

I also have a Boxer. They are great Dogs! A little messy in the eating and drinking department but I am hard pressed to say a better Dog out there!

I was thinking of heading to the pound to see what kind of dogs are there. I just dont have the funds right now to purchase a full breed German shephard with papers and shots being they go for around 600 a pop around here.
