Supposedly purebred boxers, though a couple people (including the vet) said he might be mixed with a pit bull. I'd like to have a bull mastiff....they're just way too big for my apartment.

awesome dog, definitely pure bred boxer, I got one at home. They are PEOPLE dogs, give him lot's of love (being at the pound I'm sure he needs it) and he will give lots of love back. Also, make sure you don't feed him any of that poison dog food, check the internet for pet food recall if you don't know what I am talking about.

oh, and boxers are mid sized dogs averaging about 55 pounds, but they can be as small as 40 pounds and as big as 100+ pounds. So, he acutally looks pretty good as far as weight, maybe a liitle thin but not much.

He weighs 70 pounds. Average for a male is 70-75, 50-55 for female. The vet said he'd be in perfect shape if he put on another 5 pounds. We've got the food thing under control, the poison hasn't effected dry food much.

He had real bad separation anxiety problems when we took him home, but we worked a little Cesar Millan magic yesterday and the change was incredible. I couldn't believe how much that little noise Cesar makes actually works. The past couple days he had broken out of his crate twice, jumped my girlfriend's fence twice (which is 6 feet high), and whined and cried non-stop as soon as we left the room. Now we can leave him alone and he'll just lay down and go to sleep. Crazy.

Great dogs, my neighbors have one thats thin or thinner than that and it wont gain weight no matter how much they feed it. I told them to make sure it didnt have some type of worm or get some high fat food with less filler.

70 should be fine for a male he just looked thin in the rib section at first glance. My neightbors is alot thinner
