no it's not true, my friend got a ticket in arizona 2 years ago and the cop told him well if you dont want to pay it you don't have to just don't come back to Az ever again.

i wasn't being an *** i know i broke the law. iceteebone was the one being an ***. he's the one trying to make it seem like he follows every law in the country. im pretty sure if i a cop saw a car going 80mph at 4am in the morning he wouldn't pull the the car over.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ He probably got the ticket on the 101. The speed limit is actually 65 and on the weekends and late in the evening I'd say about 88% of everyone on this 5 mile stretch of freweay between Frank Loyd Wright and Via de Ventura set there cruise control at 75-80mph. For my 5 years of living in AZ I've noticed this speeding on the freeway and it seems to allways be a topic on the news channels about how cops are trying to cut down on speeding blah blah blah, They finally decided to install cameras at at least 5 different points along the stretch of freeway that people allways speed on which happens to be where my exit is to get to my house.

This weekend Ill make a lil video to show you what Im talking about, I'll set my cruise on 75 mph(10mph over) and I will not gain on any cars on the 101 and will probably get passed a few times.

I'm not saying it's a good idea and jump on the bandwagon, but just letting out of state people know what is going on with the 101 freeway in Scottsdale, AZ.

If a cop saw him doing 80 mph 4am he would not pull him over, he would just pull up beside him to indicate his presence and then pass him up. This has happened to me many times when I was not paying attention to my speed.

I've gotton out of a few photo radar tickets, I was not the registered driver of the vehicle so all iI had to do was to get the registered driver bring his lcense to court and say "this is not me driving" they then as you who it is, and then you say I don't know.

just get a blocker... it's a device that makes it so your licence plate appears to be too shiney.
Cops don't see it if they are radaring you.. it doesn't jam that... but it will block those freeway cameras.

Those don't work and is just another reason for a cop to pull you over if he notices it. My fathers Mercedes CLK had one on it and believe it or not the dealership left it on the car when he bought it. I was driving his car down 101 and got flashed. I thought for sure I was cool because of this false sense of security that the reflective plate cover gives you. Anyways the ticket was sent to him in the mail, but since he was not driving it got dismissed.

The cops are pretty bad here. They hide off teh highway in the trees and you have no chance of seeing em. I got arrested in november of last year for speeding. 108 in a 65. 418.00 ticket and a 367.00 fine. Plus a careless and negligent charge that was pled down to excessive speed. This was at a time when there was almost no traffic.

that would be a state wide warrant. i got a ticket driving through albequerqe new mexico and never paid it and they put out a county wide warrant, which i can still get pulled over in new mexico, just not in whatever county albequerqe is in. it was a seat belt ticket though, not speeding. who wants to drive through new mexico anyway.

Actually the DMV databases have been linked together. If you get a fine in another state and dont pay it you will lose your license in the state you reside in. Just happened to my stepfather for a 23 year old ticket he got in minnesota.

yeah the 101 is crazy, i drive by all 6 of the cameras on a daily baises, really not that bad once you know where they are. And like Shiz said if your doing 70-75 yur gunna get passed, plain and simple. yes i do speed but i consider myself responsible while doing it, dont go in and out of traffic and i slow when needed to not pressure the driver in front of me. but yeah anything 16+ mph over the speed limit. is considered criminal speeding. oh and they might be taking the cameras down in dec because of laws and shit, so we'll see

they are quick to suspend liscences. worst part is they don't tell you it's suspended, you get pulled over and you've got a new, more serious ticket that can't be paid through the mail. driving without a liscence is becoming more of a crime than a simple ticket.

Anytime you go to traffic court, you see this...

For some people, it's totally their fault.. they put it off, and put it off, and then end up w/more serious accounts against them. However, some people just get caught up in the legal system because they've never been in trouble before, and they don't know wtf they are doing.

MOST times, however, the judge will be able to tell the difference between the two and give a break to the later...

I heard the same that they may be taking them down. Remeber that one time they were cracking down on speeding and there was like 10 cops on the side of the 101. It was hella crazy, but it sure did slow everyone down when they saw it!
