im looking for 5.25" components for my front doors and im looking to spend no more than $250. ive been looking at alpine spr 13s but other opinions are welcome

I second the Alpine SPX-17REF or the SPX-13REF. I love mine. Loud, clean sound, loveliest tweeters ever.

I'll second the Rainbow SLCs too. My friend has a set, they sound great, except people are having a frequent problem with tweeter protection mode.

The CDT Eurosport ES520 can be had for $260 from Woofersetc. Very nice sounding comps.
