Where can i find sheets of wood thats not mdf? Such as birch and cherry? I want a nice finish instead of normal carpeting but cant seem to find very easily on the internet

Lowe or home depot should have birch and oak ..my favorite is.arauco if u can find it.in ur.area

Try to find another lumber yard like 84 Lumber or something like that. The sheets of wood at Home Depot and Lowe's tends not to be that great. Usable, but **** in comparison. Home Depot does have 2'x4' pieces of 11-ply Birch though, use those if at all possible versus their 5-ply 4'x8' sheets.

do a search for lumbar yards near you, it might be cheaper than home depot and have actual baltic birch not the crappy plywood birch.

also if u want a nice wood grain, look into applying a veneer over the birch

amen to that, my les paul still going strong after 15 years and its in an abusive house played every day.
