Good wire?

My local car audio shop charges $6.00 per foot of 0 awg. This is a bit steep so I was just gonna order some online. Right now all of my wiring is monster cable, but on my big 3 would be ok to use some cheaper generic wire? Does it make that much of a difference?

not going to make a difference for your application. look in the classifieds, i've seen some for sale for a good price.

It all depends on what kind of car it is.

I'd get about 15' just to be safe. And you can never have too much wire laying around.

I ended up using ~8-9 feet, but it depends on where your alternator is in relation to your battery, and where you want your grounding points on your frame to be.

unless you have a borther in law like mine then dont leave anything laying around
