Alright, I have a 1994 Explorer. My alternator went out Sunday night. So I have to have one fast, I called NAPA. I have a charge account there, so it made it easy. It came in today, supposed to be a 130amp at most. The ticket shows 100 amps @idle, 142 @6000 pulley RPM. That's like 1200 engine RPM on my truck, they say.

Anyways, at idle with lights on HI, blower motor on max, and stereo on blast, I have 14.7 volts at idle. This I think is good for next day at no cost upfront 139.99.

Yeah 140+core. And I don't know the brand, they needed the box back this afternoon with my core in it. But I asked for one for the Explorer Limited, as it is 130amp factory vs 95 for regular tucks.

And no, not the stock stereo sir....I am a member of this board for a reason.

I don't pop 80amp fuses, but I pop 60's as soon as a low note hits. That's all I know about my current draw.

And big3 is done in 4ga. as well. I think it is enough alternator for me.

Napa or Carquest (or any real parts store) always have better starters/alternators than Advance or Autozone, dont ever buy one there.
