Good upgrade or no?

So currently in the F150 I have a single Rockford Fosgate R2 downfired under my rear seat on a 250 watt Rockford amp (No hate, first system!) Anyway, I can barely notice the sub anymore, it sounds nice I'm just used to it. Considering upgrading the sub to either a Sundown SD-3 10, or Skar Audio VD-10. Not needing crazy competition level bass, at least in my daily, but would either of these subs be a good upgrade to get the truck shaking? I'd upgrade to a 500-600 watt amp. Thanks!

I don't know if you have upgraded yet but I went from a Rockford fosgate shallow 10 to a Skar vd10 . Down firing in an F150 . Both being pushed by a R500x1d. The difference was night and day. I couldn't believe the difference. I knew nothing about Skar audio at the time and was going by the advice of the local audio shop. The Skar audio need a little more mounting depth 4.41 inches. But it only requires .50 sealed and 1ft^3 ported which the Rf required .75 and 1.25 I believe. The Skar audio hit almost twice as hard.

You won't be disappointed with the vd-10... I'm running 2 vd-8's in my Ford f250 behind the seat on 600 watts atm.. About to double power and see what they do. I may swap to the sd3-8's tho when they come out.
