Good Tuning Tips?

I am about ready to install a JL 500/1 with 2 12w6v2s (which i know that the 1000/1 would be better but $$$$ came into play) but to point i am using a sealed box that has 2.35 cub's. I read the manual and all that and was wondering if there any other tips cuz i never used an amp with the extra features that this one provides.

the manual explains all the features on the amp pretty well. and sence your running a sealed box, you wont need to mess with the sub sonic features. etc.

so would the bass controller be pointless to use then or will that still have some effect on the amp and output

Use the controller if you want to adjust sub output independant of volume, otherwise nix it. Most would use it.
