well the last speakers i bought were 100$ per pair....i guess maybe less than 200$ per pair would be good for these. I was planning on amplifying them with just my headunit. I need 6 1/2" speakers for the front and 4" speakers for the back i think. You plan on amplifying these with an external amplifier? Not the headunit I hope?
Also, what size speakers are you wanting?
Lastly, what is your actual budget? "Aren't too pricey" is an extremely relatively term. I might think something is "not too pricey", while you may think it's way the hell out of your budget.
Because he saidHow come not components? Just a curiousity question.
As black mentioned.....co-axials are a better option when utilizing the headunit's internal amplifier. For one, spending the extra money on a component set isn't worth it since he wouldn't be using them to their full potential. Second, if he's not going to be externally amplifying them and plans on just using the headunit's amplifier, then it's decently apparent that he's not looking for top notch performance, just something that sounds decent. Which, again, makes spending the extra money on a good component set not worth it.How come not components? Just a curiousity question.
Thx alot , i was worried about that.I haven't used those particular speakers, but there's no reason that amplifier shouldn't produce adequate power for those speakers.
Keep in mind that the difference between 100w and the "recommended" 150w is only 1.75db at best. That's a very small audible difference.
Sound like co-axials would best suit your needs.
Some good sounding co-axials to look into would be Rainbow (contact 6spdcoupe on here), Boston Acoustic, Memphis, Pioneer REV series, and DLS (contact Tplaya07)
That amp will power both fine, but theres a LARGE costly difference between those two sets. The CSs are to the tune of triple the CMXs.squeak9798, i see you have alot of experience in car audio.i wanted to ask you something.
If a speaker
Power Line CS
Peak power handling 250 Watt
Nominal power handling 180 Watt
Minimum amplifier power 150 Watt
will an amp with 100W per channal do the job or will it be under powered?? if soo im going to have to get the
Power Line CMX, which has
Peak power handling 150 Watt
Nominal power handling 100 Watt
Minimum amplifier power 75 Watt
and the amp will be Arc audio 600.4, powering 2 sets, front door, rear doors, rear dash no speakers.
TY
