good speakers

Ok I have bought a Pioneer Premiere 680 for my ’94 Camaro and I was wondering what some good speakers would be for the car, they are 6.5” all the way around, I’m planning on putting 75-wats to each one, and the front set I was going to do component, and coaxial in the back. I was looking at Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XR601(6.5”) for $69.95 for the back, and Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XR50P for the front (5.25”) for $99.95

I was also wandering if CDT Audio EF-61FG for $199.95 where good speakers or not, they are a little out of my range but for a good deal on some GOOD speakers I can splurge a little

Does it have the premium stereo system or just the 4 speaker set up. I had a 96 f-body with a premium system a while back and it had a component system up front. If this is your case too, you definitely want to replace the fronts with some nice components and not coaxials.

CDT makes very nice audiophile grade speakers. They would make a great front stage. I would also recommend checking out "eD" for nice but cheap front components. Their eDi 6000 component set can also be mounted as a coaxial. Pretty nifty. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=49

If you are still going with coaxials I'd say polks all around. They are the only coaxials I've ever heard with a decent tweeter in them. Accurate but not harsh at all.

Stay away from Kenwood speakers. Those CDTs are a nice set, and as far as the rear coaxs go, I'd pick up a set of Pioneer Revs. One of they best coaxs out there, and very affordable.

for the power you have, the regular EF series or the Cl series is the better way to go. The EF FG requires a little more power try 125-150rms. if you are interested in CDT products PM me.

No my Camaro is just the bottom of the line stock, lol it doesn’t even have power widows or locks

Since you have the Pioneer deck...I'd recomend you check in on the Pioneer Rev series speakers...They have some great sound and can handle 75w's with ease

The CL-61s are definitely a nice set of compnents for a first timer. However, I would spend an extra $30 and go witha set of CDT EFs if it were me.
