What's a good shelf stereo to buy for my room for under $150... Mines broken and doesnt read cds no more so I need one fast.

For under $150, you're not going to have many options...go to the store and listen to a few.

For $150, you could get the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and hook it up to your computer. Might sound better than a shelf system. I dunno

If you're thinking about going this way look at the Promedia Ulta 2.0 too. They appear to be more of a balanced full range system...
