Good, Reliable, Cheap(ish) Amp Brands?

It wouldn't be ideal. The type X is rated 1000 rms. US Mike does 750 at 2 ohms. It's hard to get big power at 2 ohms. Taramps MD 1800 or Sundown SBF 2000 would be my choice.

On the Taramps MD 1800, the high pass filter is basically the subsonic filter, right?

For the Type X, it’s not as ideal as others but I was going off your original post wanting 1200-1500 @ 1 ohm

Ok. That’s the one shredder recommended. I asked him how that would work, and he didn’t answer. So basically I should look for an amp with a 2-ohm load around 1500.

Taramps is your best bet for that power at a cheaper cost.

Video says everything. End of thread @kchyde you too. The us acoustics mike amp cant even hit rated, like 20 watts off with higher voltage on the dyno and it costs more. Not the amp you should be looking at tbh

Which brand would be “nicer” to my cars electrical system? It’s all factory, no cap, no extra battery, no big 3, and I have 4 ga wire powering my current amp.

Taramps. I would get the biggest agm you can fit under the hood (if you don’t already) and do the big 3.
