good or bad idea?

Is it good to run a ground wire from the battery all the way back to the amp? I heard from a local place I should try that to help with rpm drops.

its a waste of wire

edit: ground is ground, just make sure wherever you ground the wire to scrape all the paint from "chasis area"

Depends on the system and the car. If the system is drawing enough current the chassis could prove to be a really bad ground conductor.

you are right after i did some research, i retract the phrase i used about waste of wire. but most ofent or not it is unneeded to run such length of wire.
