Good MP3 recordings?

alright i installed it the way you said and it recorded to mp3 succesfully!

here's a list of all my options

is there something i could change to make it record a little bit better and get better sound quality results???

oh and how do i set it to name the Mp3s as "Artist - Track Name" ??

That is why you load the correct adapter for your drive. All of those settings will be done for you.

I would guess so as you are the first that I have ever heard say that. Your settings are wrong I'm sure. You may have created a 96k mp3....

Once you load the correct adapter you will be good to go.

the recording is aggressive trebly and it is not quite as wide as the treble from the original CD...

Well say you rip it in full format (AIFF, WAV, etc) and the file is 16megs. In MP3 format the file size could be as little as 3-5megs. This encoder still retains full quality while still shrinking the file a bit, it's still bigger than an MP3 but smaller than the AIFF. Probably be around 10-12megs.

But if you're going to have files that big you might as well just rip them in wave and leave them like that. The whole point of having compressed music files for your computer is to save room and maintain as much quality as possible. Therefore the method Chris and one other guys suggested is the way to go. EAC with Lame encoder.......no contest.
