The only reason I care about 4ohm vs 8 ohm is that my amp only puts out 75w RMS per channel at 4 ohms. Many of the drivers I looked at have 100w RMS ratings, which means i would be giving the speaker around 1/3 of it's RMS if I used an 8 ohm driver.
I understand that I don't need to give the speakers their full RMS ratings, but I don't want to underpower them that much.
