Good Midbass drivers for $100 a pair?

I ended up buying those cdts from misfit. (great guy to deal with by the way) It was a good deal and with the rsds having such good midbass I'm going to experiment with the CDTs in the midrange I'm guessing they'll sound a little better in that range than the pgs but guess I'll just have to wait and see

plugging midranges into a midbass thread, lols
The Seleniums actually have more output from 250hz down than my Hertz HSK mids. And this is with 1/2 the power. They will play much lower, down to around 50-60hz with ease where my Hertz wouldnt.

And this is a direct drop in. Same vehicle, same doors, same condition, same amp, same radio, etc.

So I hooked up those CDTs and they do sound great but I just can't get the midbass in the 60-200ish range that I'm looking for... I listen to mainly rock so I'm really looking for great drum hits. I looked at the peerless sls 6.5 someone suggested and the seleniums. how do these compare to the Dayton rs180 or the ED e3.6 or anymore suggestions? I only need them to play the small frequency band from 50 or 60 up to 200 to 250hz. Oh and for power I have 100 watts at 4 ohms to each speaker. Thanks again everyone

Peerless SLS 6.5's in that frequency and price range. /thread.

The Dayton RS180's are pretty good in the midbass region as well, but from what I've read they're a bit limited on output (but not enough to take away from the overall quality of them). The ed6.5's are not very good midbass drivers at all. You'd be better off going with the tang band equivalents.

Let me fiddle with it for a month or so and I may sell it to you for what I've got in it.

I've got my eye on something else anyway...
