Good Idea Or No?

K, I'm very space limited in my car, only room enough for an 8. No mounting depth issues, just diameter. Anyways, I was thinking of making a custom 8 out of a lightning audio neo motor like the ones here. I have no idea what the VC diameter is on the motor, but i don't think I can get any 8" soft parts with a 3" VC. Is this a good idea, or no? Unfortunately TeamPSI has no soft parts for an 8 on hand. Already checked. Unless something changed.
