Good idea or bad idea?

I have heard people talk about coating the inside of a box with resin, but its not strong without mat. But I was thinking if coating it with some kind of epoxy sealent or epoxy glue. I mean I might get some epoxy sealent from my brother, or if not get some of that epoxy glue since its so cheap and i have all the time in the world to do it so time is not an issue. I dont care about it being messy. But wouldnt this greatly improve the boxes strength?

dont want alot of resin though. Just a thin layer of epoxy. that will add somewhat less than .09 cu ft or something.

that box was a throw away, ports to small. I learn as I make em. I havent made the box yet, but all the pieces are already cut. And a thin layer would do something. This epoxy sealent my brother has is some strong shit, he uses it for big concrete jobs, and it he never gets foundation cracks after he seals it. Never.

You will get much greater reinforcement from simple crossbracing with wood dowel or threaded rod. You would need a LOT of epoxy or resin to get the same strength, enough that it would probably reduce your internal volume MORE than a simple brace would.

would a single brace make much of a difference? Im not really trying to take up space. And also want to give this a try.

yeah, 2 pieces of wood in a cross brace do wonders and take up less than 0.01 cu.ft. of airspace if they're small enough
