Those are the three I have seen and liked, is that Alpine a good deck?

I need something with pre amps for a sub and for a front amp so I need 2 sets.

So that Kenwood X-591 model has a USB Cable that I plug my flash drive into? IM cool with that! Do they come with the cable?
the Cable is 4 feet long, so what i did is run it down the back of dash and out to a cubbie hole my car has. Yes the usb cord is attached to the headunit. 4 volt pre outs, sub, front, and rear rca outputs. It does ALOT for what it cost

I've got the JVC KD-G820 and I'm happy with it. My main peeve on it is that the sub outs have a crossover setting that I can change from 80, 120, or 160 Hz and as far as I can tell you can't turn it off and just send full signal to the amps. I've got the Kicker SX series amps and I'm able to adjust crossover and slope on them, don't need to do it on the deck too.

If you do go JVC I would go for the arsenal line (like the kd-g880) iirc mine has 4 volt front'rear pre's and 2.0 volt sub. I think the arsenals are 5 volt all around but check to make sure. I bought mine off the demo wall at a best buy and had it for about 1.5 years and it's still going strong.

I also ordered an 80 GB Portable Hard Drive to put all my music on. I have 7.8 GB right now on my computer so I figured why get an 8GB Flash drive, when I can just get an 80 for about the same price on ebay...

Cant wait to get all this stuff!

I dont own an Ipod. And I dont plan on ever getting one.
lol

I also got the hard drive about 140 bucks cheaper than a normal ipod.

Dude thats funky. So you just plug in your external HD in the 6900 USB slot and your good to go ?

We sell alot of the Kenwood Excelon head units in our store w/ USB. The X491 is our most popular just cuss its the cheapest. Plus you get a free 1GB usb drive w/ it free

nothing wrong with JVC - I have the avx800 with the usb function too and there are some people that have external usb hdd's connected to them with no problem. Very good peice of kit for the price.
