Good enough for Orion D2400?

Im going to buy a 2nd battery (red top optima)

and replace my altenator with a new one of the stock version.

The reason for that is because the one i have now is 5 years old..

I drive a 2001 Tahoe if that helps any but, i was just wondering if this would be work able for my electrical system.

so your gonna replace your perfectly good stocker with another stocker????just get a battery and big three...and if you still need it then save and get a ho alternator...if your alternator is working fine there is no point in waisting money on a new one....

well i guess i should have added that its been acting up lately.. my car is actually in the shop cause of battery and alt.
