Good deal or a rip off?

I was at best buy buying a new CD (8 diagrams) and went to the car audio section for shits and giggles. Anyway some customer started talking to me; what do you have blah blah, ect. He tells me he just picked up an old W3, and an MTX Thunder 4122 for $150 off craigslist. Long story short, he thinks he got a good deal and I think he got ripped off. I told him that he paid to much and it seemed like he was gettin pissed off at me.. anyways, what do you think that stuff it worth? Just wondering because I dont really know how much that MTX amp is, don't see it for sale anywhere.

depends on the condition of the equipment, but I'd say its a good deal considering how much JL goes for. A w3 on ebay is gonna command at least 100, the amp would pull some cash as well

It's a pretty old W3 he said.. Probably about 2-3 years old. Also isn't that MTX 4122 like 200 watts bridged? I think thats a little pricey considering theres one MTX Thunder 4122 on ebay for $9.99...
