No Longer Truckin
for once i wake up in a good mood. some know i drive truck for a living. after my fleet manager tells me today they wont be able to get me home for another week, instead of this weekend(been on the road and away from home for almost 3 weeks now). i was pretty cool about it. i dont normally wake up in good moods, so many problems with bills and what not back home and not being able to see wife and family for weeks at a time takes a toll on a person after so long. but for whatever reason i wake up in a good mood. so im trucking along through atlanta this morning:driving:, nice breeze and in one great mood!

and then this happens...........the genius designes of these trucks make a lightweight plastic bumper, however it is bolted in with metal screws. so the plastic casing basically wore down, stripped out and came off. so now i have a $1,000+ repair bill for a simple plastic bumper and mounts....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif im sure its going to be even better to cover my bills now

thats wack. id you at least grab the piece? duct tape that shit if you need to f the 1000 bean bill
yeah the bumper is in my truck. i would just say f*ck it and leave it but problem is if u look close it leaves alot of vital engine components vulnerable so it has to be fixed some how. and if DOT gets there hands on me there going to have a field day with this

What i would do bro take it start glassing it on the back make it hold until can save up until can get a new one. that way don't look like nothing wrong with it all work done from backside of it.

there is no way thats a $1000 repair, not even close

truck your *** over to my place, i'll fix it for a case of beer. From the sounds of your first post, it wont take more than a few pieces from home depot/napa to fix er right up

I DONT SEE A 1000 BUCKS worth of repairs. (not speaking blindly my dad is a truck driver) go get some fender washers and bolt it back on and let it ride.
all the bolts into the bumper are ripped out with about 5 inch gaps so theres no way i could re align it , so i have to buy a new bumper. and most of the mounts are bent and stripped. and ask ure dad. regardless of what is broken on a truck. its expensive
