good boat gear?

ive always ran clarion marine has always done me right but havent checked on much else...

but most setups i put in were not marine and fine ... lol last set i did a couple years back was two 10 kenwoods on a kenwood 250.1... all reg. car audio still plays great.. no issues with moisture... depends if ur just looking for some bang throw some cheap stuff in there if ur looking for professional type stuff use marine...

If there is any risk of water splashing on the speakers and other equipment or salt water exposure of any amount then that justifies spending more on marine audio. In our area it's entirely fresh water for boating, but we have used Clarion exclusively so far. In terms of head units, they have excellent high contrast displays. Their SRQ series of speakers are voiced to be pretty loud on the top end, but some EQ work takes care of that in a hurry. If you want a lot of power, unfortunately the 2015 amplifier line-up is lacking.

Cerwin Vega's new powersports amplifiers should be shipping now. I'm eager to give those a try in a boat. They have tower speakers coming that look absolutely beastly. Some of them use a passive radiator for louder bass.
